Evolution or Creation?

Did we evolve? Did this world appear as some cosmic accident? Or were we created by God? Romans 1:18-21 says,

"18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. 21 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened." (ESV)

The proof that there is a creator is the existence of creation itself. If you look at a painting, you automatically know that there was a painter. If you look at a building, you know that there was a builder. So, when we look at creation all around us, we know that there was a creator - an intelligent designer. God created us. We did not evolve from monkeys, as some believe. We have similarities simply because we were designed by the same creator.

Try this: Get about 10 rocks and line them up in a perfect row in the middle of a busy sidewalk. I can guarantee you that when somebody walks by and sees the rocks lined up, they'll be thinking, "Now, who lined those rocks up like that?"  They're probably not going to think that it was some cosmic accident or that the rocks just evolved that way. How much more complex is the design of the human eye? The retina of the eye contains about 137 million light-sensitive cells. Why do we have two eyes instead of just one? Did evolution know anything about 3D vision? The only explanation that scientist have is that it took millions of years of evolution and it seems that whenever they can't explain something, they add a few more million years to their  excuse. The earth has been in existence for only 6 to 10 thousand years, but that's a whole other story...

One Of My Favorite Verses: Romans 8:1

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1 (ESV) In Christ, we have the freedom of living in the Spirit, free from the sentence of the Law. For the one who is truly saved, this is the joy that he has.
