Many people believe that there are many ways to heaven, including Oprah Wimphrey. But John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
This is a case of miscommunication. Yes, Jesus is the only way. Yes, He has many names.
If a man accepts Jesus Christ into his heart and refers to him as Yeshua (the original Aramaic proper name for Jesus the Nazarene) or King of the Jews, Son of God, Son of David... does that mean his invitation is useless? Others believe that Allah is the name of the one true God. We all come to find the Lord on our own PATH. It's not about religion. It's about relationship. God knows the heart. And I sense that Oprah understands that the Son of God is the way, but she doesn't know how to explain that, on a global point of view, we may call Jesus by that name that we know to call him.
Oprah says, "There are many more paths to God other than Christianity."
Christianity believes in the Trinity.
I don't think Oprah knows how to explain the difference between relationship and religion while keeping the masses at agreement. There will always be differences in opinion.
